I haven't always loved to cook. As a child, I didn't do much in the kitchen. My mom wasn't interested in teaching and I wasn't interested in learning!
Once married, I taught my self to cook during one hot summer in Sacramento. I was determined to learn to roast a turkey, make soups, and bake cakes. The apartment was miserably hot, but the food turned out pretty good.
By the time I was in my forties, I enjoyed making Holiday meals, baking for family and friends, and preparing all the food for big parties. So, when I was asked to cater an employee Christmas party, my catering career was born. After spending a week at the Culinary Institute of American in Napa, California, I began to believe in myself and my abilities.
Over the years, I have accumulated many recipes for all sorts of events, as well as, personal family recipes. Now, I want to share all of these recipes with you.
